Ishita

Ishita is a young student from India. She came to Canada in 2023 under a study permit to pursue a master’s degree in biomedical engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. After considering the UK, Australia and Germany, she eventually decided to study in Canada because of favourable economic conditions and her family network. Despite being raised in the patriarchal society of India, she received full support from her family to go abroad to become a scientist.
