Call a prospective migrant abroad

Emmanuel is a 40-year-old financial manager from Nigeria. He currently works in the finance section within the Ministry of Defence in Nigeria. He is married and has three children. In 2019, he applied unsuccessfully to the Express Entry scheme to migrate to Canada. Despite three attempts on the English language test, Emmanuel, who is a native English speaker, could not achieve the high score he needed to qualify for the Express Entry.

Natacha is a 36-year-old from Cameroon who has a master’s degree in finance and accounting. After a consolidated experience in private companies, media and start-ups in Cameroon and Gabon, she decided to migrate to Canada to join her brother, who migrated to Canada a few years before. She eventually obtained her visa and recently moved to Ottawa.

Shraddha is a 32 year-old from Nepal. She holds a master's degree in Social Science from Roskilde University in Denmark. In 2019, Shraddha initiated her application for the permanent residency scheme. However, given the lengthy process and the death of her father due to the COVID-19 virus, she decided not to proceed with the application. Shraddha is now working as a lecturer and a business development manager for a private organization in Nepal.
